Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication administration and documentation. The role includes medication setup, self-administration support, and strict MAR record-keeping to meet state requirements.

Candidates must obtain criminal background clearance and pass health screenings. Training will be provided, and the team emphasizes a homelike, caring environment for seniors in Culver City.

Qualifications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including MARs.
• Leaves no blanks on MARs.
• Document reasons for PRN medication on MARs and effectiveness of medication.
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screening such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration of their medications.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered.
• Complete MAR documentation immediately after assistance and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with policy and state requirements for medication records.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications

  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
