Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our care team. You will perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration under RN guidance, documenting on MARs and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Performs medication set-up and assists residents with self-administration as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD.
• Documents medication administration on MARs immediately after assistance and records reasons for PRN.
• Maintains compliance with policy and state requirements including health screens and background checks.

• Maintain medication records and PRN documentation.
• Support residents with medication program under RN supervision.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
