Job summary

Westmont of Cypress is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents by preparing and administering medications under RN guidance and by documenting MARs accurately. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and resident well-being in a supportive senior living environment.

Ideal candidates will complete required health screenings, pass background checks, and obtain basic first aid within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and committed MED TECH role.
• Perform medication setup and assist with residents’ medications.
• Ensure accurate MAR documentation and adherence to policy.

Responsibilities

• Medication setup and resident assistance per physician/RN directions.
• Document medication administration on MARs immediately after assistance.
• Maintain complete MARs with no blanks and record PRN medication reasons.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

• administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

• the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

• Leaves no blanks on MARs

• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
