Job summary

Westmont Living, a senior living community, is seeking a compassionate MED TECH for Westmont of Carmel Valley. The role focuses on medication set-up and assisting residents with self‑administration under RN/RSD guidance.

You will document MARs, record PRN notes, and ensure compliance with state requirements. Qualifications include criminal background clearance and health screenings; a first aid certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration of medications.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and ensure no blanks.
• Record reasons for PRN medication and note effectiveness on MARs.
• Comply with policy and state requirements for medication documentation.
• Complete criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Pass all required health screens including Physical, TB, and drug test.
• Maintain current basic first aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self‑administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
