Job summary

Westmont Living in Santa Barbara is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents across independent, assisted, and memory care settings. You will perform medication setup, record keeping on MARs, and coordinate with RNs to ensure accurate administration.

Qualifications

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass health screen including TB test and drug screening
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire
