Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Nurse to support and assist in providing a holistic, therapeutic, person-centered Memory Care Program on the Memory Care Unit. The Nurse will work to achieve and maintain the highest quality of life for residents diagnosed with dementia while under facility care.

The role requires hands-on collaboration with Memory Care staff, CNAs, and the Memory Care Director to ensure non-pharmacological interventions, individualized care plans, and family involvement in care

Qualifications

• Commit to continued growth as a knowledgeable healthcare provider in Alzheimer’s dementia and other dementias.
• Complete at least 12 hours of continual education annually, including the required 16 hours of orientation training and ongoing dementia care trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of Memory Care Aides and CNAs, including supervision and ADL care, transportation, and non-scheduled activities.
• Know residents’ background, disease, medical and behavioral care needs, and preferences in detail.
