Job summary

The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, MO seeks a Memory Care Support Partner to compassionately assist residents in daily activities and ensure their safety and dignity. You will collaborate with memory care teams to create engaging, person-centered plans, document changes, and support transitions from waking hours to bedtime.

A high school diploma and empathy are essential; weekends and consistent shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, understand and communicate in English with residents.
• Positive and energetic attitude toward residents.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Be an Advocate of Empathy: create human connection with residents during vulnerable moments.
• Be a Patient Observer: discover residents' interests and engage with them.
• Master of the Mise en Scène: set the stage for daily activities and routines.
• Life Partner: support residents through daily waking to sleeping.
• Document resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist with orientation of memory care neighborhood team members.
