Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA / L1MA) to support Memory Care residents in Missouri. You’ll administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, home-like environment under licensed supervision.

The role emphasizes resident safety, dignity, and quality of life within a Memory Care setting, with opportunities for growth and teamwork across interdisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide / Med Level One course with Missouri certification.
• Willingness to complete Med Level One training at the community, if applicable.
• Active certification maintained in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, meals, mobility.
• Observe and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and intake/output.
• Recognize and report changes to charge staff.
• Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers with needed assistance.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas.
• Greet visitors, answer calls, and assist with tours.
