Job summary

Power Wellness' Huntley Health & Fitness Center in Huntley, Illinois is seeking a friendly Member Services Associate to greet members and guests, process registrations and memberships, and manage day-to-day desk operations.

You will handle phone calls, schedule appointments, promote ancillary services, balance cash drawers, and support a positive, service-based culture while standing for shifts of 3–6 hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
• 2-3 years of sales, reception and computer skills preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service desk interactions including opening/closing procedures and guest check-in.
• Promote and sell memberships and ancillary services (personal training, massage, nutrition programs).
• Schedule appointments via core software; handle reminders, cancellations and notifications.
• Balance drawers and enforce payment policies during daily sales.
• Enroll members via contract, explain memberships and provide handbooks.
• Maintain clear radio communication with departments as needed.
• Aim for high satisfaction metrics from Secret Shops and member surveys.
• Maintain an average of 5 shifts per month; stand for 3–6 hours per shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
