Job summary

Power Wellness seeks a Member Services Associate to deliver top-notch service at The Health and Fitness Center at Washtenaw Community College. The role focuses on membership information, enrollment, and ongoing satisfaction, with weekend availability required.

Responsibilities include handling desk operations, selling memberships and services, scheduling via the core system, and ensuring accurate payments and records while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor across interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
• 2-3 years of sales, reception and computer skills preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; positive service mindset.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service desk interactions, opening/closing, phone handling, guest registration, and fee processing.
• Promote and sell memberships and ancillary services including personal training and nutrition.
• Schedule appointments via core software, manage reminders and cancellations.
• Balance drawers, process payments, and follow policy on credit/debit transactions.
• Enroll members via contract, obtain signatures, and provide member handbook.
• Communicate effectively with other departments as needed.
• Support satisfaction metrics like surveys and feedback programs.
• Maintain an average of shifts per month to ensure coverage.
• Stand for length of shift (3-6 hours typically).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
