Job summary

The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Membership Sales Representative to own the full sales cycle—researching prospective members, cultivating relationships with business owners and decision-makers, and converting them into Chamber members.

You will report to the Executive Vice President of Membership & Leadership Development and collaborate with the existing sales representative in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of sales experience, ideally B2B, membership, advertising or association sales.
• Proven record of prospecting and closing new business.
• Self-starter energized by meeting new people and building lasting relationships.
• Polished communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with comfort using a CRM and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the Albuquerque business community is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify prospective members across industries, neighborhoods and business sizes.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline through calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals and networking.
• Cultivate prospects through meetings and tailored presentations that show the value of membership.
• Close new memberships and meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
• Attend Chamber events, luncheons and networking functions to build relationships and generate leads.
• Track all activity and results in our CRM.
• Partner with the membership team to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every new member.
