Job summary

US Fitness in Reston, VA is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager to help lead membership growth and club operations. You will coach the membership team, support front desk and other departments, and partner with the GM to deliver an outstanding member experience daily.

You’ll oversee at least one department, host tours, convert prospects, and manage onboarding & paperwork while tracking leads and supporting marketing initiatives. Flexible hours include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong selling and coaching skills.
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ sales/management experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems (MS Office, CRM/sales tracking).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the membership team to drive sales and exceed revenue goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop membership consultants and departmental staff.
• Manage daily club operations and act as Manager-on-Duty when needed.
• Oversee at least one department (scheduling, performance, hiring, and discipline).
• Host tours, convert prospects, and ensure onboarding & paperwork are accurate.
• Track leads, run reports, and support club marketing and outreach.
• Maintain high standards for member service, safety, and club appearance.
