Job summary

NFIB is seeking an Elite Outside Sales Advocate in Michigan to pursue membership growth among independent business owners. You will conduct in-person cold calls, present NFIB’s proven membership benefits, and close enrollments on the spot while advocating for small business rights in Washington, DC and state capitals.

Successful candidates combine entrepreneurial drive with relationship-building, strategic adaptability, and a commitment to the NFIB mission.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a business or leading a team is preferred.
• Ability to conduct face-to-face cold calls and build instant rapport.
• Fast learner who thrives on a proven, structured sales model.
• Willingness to work in a hunter/closer role across regions.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: conduct in-person cold calls to meet small business owners.
• The NFIB Presentation: master and deliver our 5-minute sales presentation.
• The Close: use an assumptive one-call close to enroll new members and process payments.
• Advocacy: educate owners on NFIB’s protections in Washington, DC and state capitals.
