Job summary

In-Shape Fitness in California is seeking a Membership Lead to join our club’s leadership team. You will drive sales, deliver exceptional member service, and oversee guest experience to boost profitability.

You’ll lead training, coach staff on sales and retention, and collaborate with the General Manager to meet goals while maintaining safety and a clean, welcoming environment for members. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in business, retail, or hospitality preferred.
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals.
• Prior supervisory experience in a service industry preferred.
• Knowledge of fitness, equipment, personal training, and group fitness preferred.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel occasionally for company meetings.
• CPR/AED certification required within first 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales targets through effective sales strategies and lead follow-up.
• Identify upselling opportunities to drive ancillary revenue.
• Conduct sales training sessions to improve team performance.
• Collaborate with General Manager to set and achieve sales goals.
• Create a sales-oriented culture focused on member experience and retention.
• Lead club operations to meet member expectations.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve sales skills.
• Manage and control expenses while ensuring safe, clean environment.
• Support marketing initiatives and promotional offers.
• Leverage social media at club level to engage members.
