Job summary

One Athletics is seeking a Membership Director to retain members and drive monthly new memberships, reporting to the General Manager and the Membership Team.

The role requires knowledge of services, programs and products, industry trends, and strong rapport-building to sustain referrals and retention. Duties include tours, inquiries, paperwork, lead generation, and marketing to local organizations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Membership Development and Sales.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective membership strategies.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in the athletic or sports industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every time.
• Recruit and retain new club members.
• Attain membership sales and revenue goals.
• Acquire point of sale referrals from every new member.
• Meet, greet, and work the floor during select times.
• Accept membership inquiries and schedule appointments daily.
• Conduct tours for scheduled appointments and prospects.
• Complete all membership paperwork and daily reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Generate leads through in-club marketing and businesses within the community.
• Enter new members in appropriate tracking system and schedule Smart Starts or other integration programs.
• Track leads, appointments, and prospect interests in appropriate systems.
• Market club to organizations and corporations.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
• Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics.
• Uphold club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
• Work morning, evening, and weekend shifts as necessary.
