Job summary

YMCA of Southwest Florida is seeking a Welcome Center Supervisor to lead daily operations of the Welcome Center and Membership Services staff, ensuring top-tier member and guest experiences. The role includes staff hiring, scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing training, with a focus on member engagement and renewal strategies.

Responsibilities include answering inquiries, processing sign-ups, coordinating wellness orientations, and maintaining a welcoming, safe facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• State of Florida background check requirements.
• One to two years prior customer service experience.
• Computer experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and behavior.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Positive attitude.
• Self-starter with high energy.
• Adhere to drug/alcohol/smoke free workplace policy.
• Background screening through Florida Care Provider Clearinghouse is required (details in policy).

Responsibilities

• Lead Welcome Center and Membership Services staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate Welcome Center and KidZone staff; manage scheduling and timesheets.
• Train and onboard staff, including Leader Certification requirements.
• Oversee new employee orientation and ongoing staff development.
• Assist in member engagement, program sign-ups, and wellness orientations.
• Handle member questions, complaints, and provide excellent service.
• Maintain branch program information and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Meet and greet members and guests and conduct facility tours.
• Coordinate with program leaders and attend meetings as scheduled.
