Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, exceeding member expectations.
• Greets every person entering the YMCA by name when known and recognizes members and guests.
• Engage in active listening to build relationships and understand member goals.
• Answer phones, direct calls, and provide accurate information about memberships and programs.
• Model YMCA core values in interactions with staff and members.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful attitude and wear a name tag.
• Assist with tours and interviews of prospective members, discussing YMCA benefits.
• Sell YMCA programs and update front desk resources with current information.
• Check-in members by scanning cards and verifying guest IDs.
• Register for memberships/programs, process payments and verify information.
• Follow procedures and policies, safety rules, and emergency plans as needed.
• Keep the facility clean and safe and assist with area maintenance.
• Document non-payment status and assist in membership reporting as needed.
• Monitor daily transactions for accuracy and review rate changes.
