Job summary

Houston-Police-Credit-Union is seeking a teller to accurately process financial transactions in lobby, drive-thru, or by telephone. The role focuses on providing friendly, professional, and confidential assistance to members and associates to ensure a positive experience with minimal wait times.

You will handle cash, post transactions, and answer inquiries while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
• A high school degree or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• 60% Perform teller transactions accurately and efficiently. Receives and/or disburses funds, posts financial transactions and loan payments as requested.
• Verbally confirm all intended transactions with member to ensure accuracy.
• Process payments and deposits received by US mail.
• Disburse Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Credit Union Checks according to written procedures.
• Balance Cash Drawer daily and follow HPCU cash balancing guidelines.
