Job summary

Michigan State University Federal Credit Union is seeking a Financial Services Specialist to deliver personalized, high-quality service at our Sashabaw and Ortonville branches. You will analyze members’ financial positions, recommend tailored solutions, and help members achieve better financial wellbeing.

The role requires working a full-time onsite schedule (40 hours weekly) with Saturdays and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Availability to work during branch hours, including Saturdays.
• Strong sales and customer service skills with risk and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Actively listen to uncover member needs and analyze their financial profile.
• Recommend tailored solutions and cross-sell complementary products.
• Process member transactions accurately and maintain service standards.
• Review transactions for red flags and escalate as needed to Fraud.
• Handle business accounts with risk-aware processes and referrals.
• Operate dual cash drawers across two systems with accuracy.
• Encourage member use of Credit Union technology for convenience.
• Participate in branch, organizational, and self-paced training.
• Engage with members at events to grow relationships and referrals.
