You will contact delinquent members, discuss options, arrange payments, and maintain detailed records to support recovery efforts while upholding compliance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years in collections, banking, lending, financial services, customer service, or account management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and general computer applications.
• Preferred experience in credit unions, banking, lending or collections.

Responsibilities

• Contact members about delinquent loan accounts by phone and mail.
• Discuss payment options and develop tailored solutions.
• Create and manage payment arrangements to bring accounts current.
• Monitor accounts at various delinquency stages.
• Analyze financial situations and recommend actions.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities.
• Assist in maximizing recovery while providing member service.
• Ensure activities comply with Credit Union policies and regulations.
• Identify lending or underwriting concerns and inform management.
• Participate in legal proceedings related to collections when required.
• Provide professional, courteous, and confidential service.
