Job summary

The Hastings YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative to welcome members and guests, answer questions, process memberships and program registrations, and help create a positive, safe environment.

In this role you will handle in-person and phone inquiries, support locker area operations, assist with program information, and contribute to a strong member experience through friendly service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Must communicate with children and adults clearly.
• Must communicate with managers and other personnel clearly.
• Candidate may be required to stand and move for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all members, guests and program participants.
• Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet in person to create positive experiences.
• Conduct tours and assist prospective members with memberships.
• Handle financial transactions for programs and memberships and keep accurate records.
• Enforce YMCA policies and safety rules and monitor facility cleanliness and safety.
