Job summary

The YMCA of the Roses is seeking a Part-Time Welcome Desk Associate to greet members and guests with a friendly, professional demeanor. You will answer questions, share information about memberships and programs, and help create a welcoming first impression at the Y.

In this role you will handle check-ins, promote services, assist with tours and orientations, and support daily desk operations while upholding the YMCA’s standards for safety and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in service-oriented or sales environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is a plus.
• Strong problem solving, relationship building and communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Answer questions and promote memberships/programs.
• Sell memberships and services; follow up with non-joiners.
• Manage check-in with Y Key Fob and verify photo matches.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming desk area.
• Assist with scheduling wellness evaluations/orientations.
• Conduct tours for new and prospective members.
• Follow security procedures for opening/closing desk/building.
• Assist with promotions, mailings, and open houses.
