Job summary

AmFirst is hiring a Teller to serve as the face of the credit union, handling cash and basic financial transactions while delivering exceptional member service. You will verify identities, process deposits and withdrawals, and support members with financial needs.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork, with opportunities to learn products and services. Prior cash handling experience is preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–12 months in similar or related role; 6 months cash handling preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer service.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process basic financial transactions (cash deposits/withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks).
• Post transactions and maintain member records per procedures.
• Greet and assist members with courtesy and confidentiality.
• Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with mail, night drop, and ATM deposits.
