Job summary

AmFirst is seeking a friendly Teller to serve as the face of the branch, processing transactions, answering questions, and supporting members' financial needs. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and routine inquiries with accuracy and discretion.

Ideal candidates have 6 months cash handling experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong teamwork and communication skills. You’ll join a team that values service, integrity, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 month to 12 months of similar or related experience. 6 months cash handling preferred.
• Education: A high school education or GED.
• Interpersonal skills: must interact with the public, courteous and helpful.
• Other skills: basic PC knowledge and ability to multitask; good judgement realizing identities, accounts, checks, and currency.
• Physical requirements: able to move around the branch and sit/stand for extended periods; light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and process basic financial transactions including cash deposits/withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, transfers, and credit card cash advances with BSA/OFAC compliance.
• Post transactions to member accounts and maintain records per procedures.
• Greet and assist members and potential members, providing routine information and meeting needs confidentially.
• Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services to members.
• Balance cash drawer daily, research discrepancies, and report to Head Teller.
• Assist with reconciling daily transactions and processing mail, night drop, and ATM deposits.
