Job summary

BayPort Credit Union is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to greet members and visitors, answer questions, and provide information on membership eligibility, accounts, loans, and other services.

You will assist with opening new accounts, process loan requests, and help members navigate product options, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced branch environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general credit union operational procedures.
• Previous teller or member service experience required.
• Attention to cash handling and office equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with members in person and via phone/email.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes credit union members and visitors in a professional and timely manner.
• Provides information to current and prospective members on membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other services.
• Communicates information in-person, via email, other written correspondence, and over the telephone to members regarding credit union services or policies.
• Handles transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, share certificates, line of credit advances, and other requests.
• Provides information regarding mortgage loans and applications; interviews loan applicants, explains approvals/denials, reviews loan docs and processes requests.
• Contacts members to follow up on loan requests and educates them on loan protection products and total loan payments.
