Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking a proactive Member Services Officer to manage account maintenance, open multiple account types, and assist members with consumer lending within assigned limits.

You will be expected to complete CLP coursework, participate in the New Consumer Lender Learning Program, and help educate members on SECU products and services while maintaining compliance and strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate degree via NC-CTP.
• Minimum of 2 years of SECU or directly related experience strongly preferred.
• Has completed Consumer Lending Program (CLP) courses and has a passing score on the CLP Exam.
• Has attended the in-person New Consumer Lender Learning Program training.
• Must complete the Credit Union Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Handle account maintenance and open all account types.
• Assist members in consumer lending and approve within assigned limits.
• Educate members on credit union products and services and provide quality referrals.
• Process transactions, wire transfers, and notary services as needed.
• Promote community events and credit union presence.
