Job summary

SECU is seeking a Member Services Officer to perform account maintenance, open accounts, and assist in consumer lending with defined limits. You will educate members on products, process wires, and manage basic financial services under supervision.

Ideal candidates will balance cash, assist in branch operations, and promote community events while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree via the NC-CTP.
• Demonstrated proficiency in all responsibilities and requirements of Assoc MSO role.
• Meets compliance and regulatory standards in terms of loan processing, loan quality and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
• Balance a cash drawer in accordance with Performance Measurement Criteria if requested by Management.
• Greet and assist members in a courteous, professional manner through all service channels.
• Open basic accounts following MIP procedures for existing members.
• Process foreign and domestic wires and assist in all areas of consumer lending within assigned limits.
• Organize, file and scan documents daily and provide quality referrals to Financial Advisory services.
