Job summary

SECU, a credit union, is seeking a Member Services Representative to assist members with accounts, transactions, and inquiries. The role involves cash handling, account maintenance, notary services, and cross-department collaboration to ensure quality service.

You will train on various modules and advance through levels, with emphasis on confidentiality, security, and accurate record-keeping. Strong communication and community engagement are valued in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate of Arts/Science via NC-CTP.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be self-motivated and dependable.
• Must have demonstrated ability to problem solve and use good judgment.
• Must be an active listener and communicator.
• Must meet all requirements of the Assoc MSR role.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and explain product information to members and answer general questions.
• Open and process maintenance on tax advantaged accounts and process foreign currency.
• Handle notary services as requested by management.
• Balance the vault, ATMs, and coin sorter.
• Greet and assist members in person, by phone, and digitally.
• Operate a drive-through window as needed.
• Interact with other departments to facilitate member requests.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management.
