Job summary

West Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids is seeking a Member Service Representative to assist members with their lending needs and onboarding.

You will pull credit reports, compute debt-to-income ratios, prepare loan applications for underwriting, and identify cross-selling opportunities while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CU*Answers experience preferred.
• Lending experience preferred.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Be able to work Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with the loan application process.
• Pull credit reports and calculate the debt-to-income ratios.
• Prepare loan applications for underwriting and complete necessary documentation to fund or deny a request.
• Open memberships.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and make appropriate recommendations of products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and accounts and related policies and procedures.
