Job summary

Credit Union ONE in Westland, MI is seeking a dedicated Member Service Consultant to deliver an exceptional in-branch experience, process transactions, and assist members with loans and digital banking.

The role requires a service-driven, sales-minded professional who can meet goals, handle complex queries, and maintain accurate records. A GED and 2+ years in financial services are expected; NMLS within 6 months of hire may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of work-related experience as a Member Service Consultant and/or Relationship Banker in the financial industry.
• Strong familiarity with digital banking channels such as ATM, online, and mobile.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NMLS registration within 6 months of hire date.
• Take real estate loan applications within 6 months of NMLS registration.
• Fluency in a foreign language may be required depending on branch.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional in-branch member experience and build relationships.
• Process financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
• Take loan applications and close consumer, home equity, and mortgage loans.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve member service issues.
• Develop a self-managed pipeline of members and prospects to meet sales goals.
