Job summary

YMCA of the Sandhills is hiring a Part-Time Member Services Representative to welcome members, guests, and program participants in Cameron, NC. You will respond to needs with professionalism, promote memberships and programs, and keep the lobby area organized and inviting.

Responsibilities include selling memberships, updating member accounts, giving tours, resolving concerns, and maintaining cleanliness. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, prior customer service or sales experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Previous customer service, sales or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• First Aid, CPR PRO and AED within 90 days of hire.
• Work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention and a sense of belonging.
• Uphold a professional attitude and appearance while at the facility.
• Provide guided tours, sell memberships, update member accounts, and register for programs, all with a high level of detail and accuracy
• Build relationships with members; help members connect with one another and to the YMCA.
• Handle and resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Monitor the facility and light cleaning as needed; to include but not limited to, empty trash cans, refill wipes, clean Welcome Center area, etc.
• Check member visits to Daxko to ensure memberships are still valid.
• Attend all staff meetings and certifications/ training as directed
• Audit membership files during shift.
• Maintain a clean working environment, free of clutter.
• Other job duties as assigned.
