Job summary

Gateway Region YMCA is seeking a part-time front desk associate to support member services at our Illinois branch. You will greet members, verify guests, enter registrations, and process transactions in the HRIS while delivering excellent service with a customer-focused approach.

Under the Membership Director, you will help recruit participants for member challenges, maintain membership policies, and assist in achieving department goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with branch management to implement membership policies and systems.
• Enter membership and program registrations into HRIS.
• Greet members and verify guests/program participants in Raptor.
• Process HRIS transactions with accuracy and perform daily close out.
• Recruit participants for member challenges and engagement activities.
• Suggest procedures to improve efficiency at the Welcome Center.
• Follow touring and follow-up processes for membership inquiries.
• Support attainment of membership department plan goals.
• Provide feedback and address member concerns.
• Develop self-improvement in customer service and sales practices.
• Respond to inquiries and solve problems via phone or in person.
• Handle conflicts with support from Membership Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
