Job summary

SECU is seeking an Associate Member Services Officer (MSO) to start in an entry-level role supporting branch operations. You will respond to member inquiries, perform routine duties, manage cash, and begin training in lending and collections.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate of Arts/Science via NC-CTP.
• Demonstrates SECU Core Values.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust in the Credit Union.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Complete Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members courteously in person, by phone, and via digital channels.
• Handle cash drawer with accuracy and balance the cash box.
• Assist with account origination and maintenance for members.
• Process wire transfers and assist with foreign currency orders.
• Learn lending and collection processes and provide referrals when appropriate.
• Adhere to all SECU policies and regulatory requirements.
