Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a friendly member services professional to perform teller duties, handle transactions, and maintain accounts. You will assist with balancing cash, issue checks, and answer inquiries, ensuring every member feels valued and attended to.

The role requires up to six months banking experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a strong emphasis on courtesy and accuracy. Occasional branch backup and Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Up to six months of banking or cash handling experience.
• High school education or GED; knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential in interactions with members.
• Customer service skills, detail-oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Handle all member transactions in person, by mail, or by phone (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Issue cashier checks, gift checks/cards, reloadable cards, and related negotiables.
• Balance daily cash drawer and negotiables; assist with balancing branch negotiables.
• Perform account maintenance and openings; update member information.
• Answer inquiries by phone and route messages; ensure timely follow-up.
• Know product features and recommend services based on member needs; promote teamwork.
