Job summary

Sunward in Los Lunas, NM is seeking a Financial Services Consultant I to support credit union growth through a member-centric, consultative sales and service approach. The role involves handling routine member transactions while delivering friendly, accurate service and supporting branch activity.

In addition to routine tasks, the position includes entry-level sales goals and proactive member outreach, including occasional outbound calls to deepen relationships.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Experience in a financial institution, hospitality, restaurant, or retail sales environment preferred.
• Comfort with meeting entry-level sales expectations and proactive member outreach.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify member needs and recommend applicable products and services.
• Meet sales goals through needs-based conversations and proactive outreach.
• Provide friendly, accurate service during routine branch transactions.
• Open new memberships and standard deposit accounts.
• Support consumer loan origination and servicing with documented procedures.
• Follow workflows and scripts to ensure proper account opening and disclosures.
• Educate members on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Assist with lobby management and scheduling appointments.
• Perform teller and platform functions with accuracy and compliance.
• Adhere to BSA/AML, OFAC, and privacy requirements.
