Job summary

Sunward in Houston seeks an entry-level Financial Services Consultant 1 to support member growth and well-being through a consultative sales approach. You will handle routine transactions, onboarding, and outbound calls to deepen relationships, while learning deposit products, consumer loans, and teller operations through structured coaching.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred in financial, hospitality, retail, or related field.
• Exposure to sales or service in a goal-oriented environment is a plus.
• Willingness to learn account-opening procedures, basic consumer lending processes, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services to strengthen financial relationships.
• Meet branch sales goals via needs-based conversations and proactive outreach.
• Provide friendly, accurate service during routine branch transactions: deposits, withdrawals, inquiries.
• Open new memberships and standard deposit accounts (checking/savings).
• Support standard consumer loan origination and servicing per procedures and lending regulations.
• Follow defined workflows and escalate exceptions to supervision.
• Educate members on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Support lobby management and scheduling appointments with appropriate staff.
• Perform teller and platform functions with accuracy and compliance.
• Adhere to BSA/AML, OFAC, and privacy requirements.
