Job summary

FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION in Houston seeks a front-line associate to deliver exemplary member service. You will handle in-branch, mail, and phone transactions, issue checks and reloadable cards, balance drawers, perform maintenance, and assist with cross-selling of CU products.

The role requires up to six months in banking or cash handling, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of BSA/AML regulations. Some travel to branches and Saturday work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
• Up to six months of experience in banking or cash handling.
• Knowledge of Credit Union products and services beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle member transactions in person, by mail, or by phone (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, currency exchanges).
• Issue checks, gift cards/cards, reloadable cards, etc.; balance cash drawer and negotiables.
• Perform member account maintenance, data changes and account openings.
• Answer phone inquiries, forward calls, and take accurate messages; follow up as needed.
• Advise members on product/service needs and promote cross-selling.
• Travel to other branch locations for coverage and work on Saturdays when required.
