Job summary

Family Security Credit Union, Inc. seeks a member services associate to assist members with accounts, explain services, analyze loan requests, and apply lending policies to loan decisions.

You will greet members, maintain knowledge of products, assist with IRA transactions, and promote cross-sell opportunities while delivering friendly, accurate service in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Intermediate PC knowledge with basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Up to one year of similar or related experience.
• Familiar with operation of 10-key calculator.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a pleasant tone.
• Good interpersonal skills: courteous, diplomatic, and tactful.
• Ability to multitask when necessary.
• Familiar with Federal Regulations related to processing financial transactions, IRA transactions, opening new accounts, and loan reviewing, approving, and processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members, handling transactions promptly and accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of credit union products, policies, procedures, and rules and regulations.
• Interviews loan applicants and reviews applications to develop loan information.
• Analyzes applicants' financial position to determine risk and loan decisions.
• Assist with opening and closing accounts and answer questions; refer issues to management as needed.
• Assist with IRA transactions including opening, transfers, deposits, and withdrawals.
• Analyzes, researches, and resolves problems related to member accounts.
• Promotes, explains, and cross-sells credit union products and services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
