Job summary

Southeast Financial Credit Union in Nashville seeks a friendly Member Service Associate to deliver prompt, accurate financial transactions and guidance to members by phone and in-branch interactions. You will process deposits, loans, and payments, assist with account opening, and help members navigate online banking, while maintaining cash controls and balancing the daily drawer.

A high school diploma or GED and at least some experience are needed; strong communication, tact, and a service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–12 months of related experience preferred.
• Excellent courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accept deposits and drafts for cashing, verify cash and endorsements, make change, and issue receipts.
• Process deposits and loan payments received by mail.
• Perform file maintenance for all deposit accounts.
• Process credit card payments and cash advances; sell Visa gift cards.
• Balance cash drawer at end of day.
• Assist members with opening/closing accounts (savings, checking, money market, CDs, IRAs, business).
• Process address changes, stop payments and check holds.
• Accept loan applications and assist with inquiries.
• May process night deposits, order checks and mail account packets.
• Work in any branch within the region; float to other locations as needed.
• Support Member Service Call Center: answer calls, process transactions, resolve problems, cross-sell.
