Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to greet members, provide program information, and support front desk operations at the branch. The role emphasizes friendly member service and adherence to YMCA policies.

The position offers a flexible schedule with 10-15 hours per week at a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, along with access to YMCA facilities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Able to use a computer and computer-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch
• Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members & potential members
• Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments
• Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed
• Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures
• Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
• Perform other assigned duties as needed
