The YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to greet members, answer questions about programs and memberships, and promote memberships to establish and engage potential new members. The role includes processing new enrollments and handling cancellations with attention to detail.

This part-time position offers 10-15 hours per week at $15.00 per hour, with access to YMCA facilities and employee benefits.

Qualificações

• Minimum 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer and computer-related systems.

Responsabilidades

• Greet YMCA members as they enter and scan passes; create a friendly atmosphere at the branch.
• Provide accurate information about programs, memberships, and policies to members and potential members.
• Promote memberships and present new member materials to enroll new members.
• Enter member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed.
• Assist with administrative tasks, member requests, and front desk procedures.

The Welcome Center Associate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.

The candidate must also enjoy working in a fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail and dependable. Opportunity for morning coverage/additional hours as needed.

Job Duties

• Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch
• Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members & potential members
• Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments
• Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed
• Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures
• Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred
• Able to use and navigate on a computer and computer related systems

Flexible Schedule Availability Preferred. 10-15 hours per week
