Job summary

A local fitness company in Schaumburg, Illinois, is seeking a Member Service Representative to enhance member engagement and retention while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include greeting members, assisting with sales, and promoting various membership privileges. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a service-oriented role and CPR/AED certification. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a service-oriented position preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Greets all members & guests with a focus on member engagement and retention.
• Assists with membership, retail and tanning product sales.
• Promotes membership privileges including tanning, group fitness, small group training and childcare.
• Delivers on new member enrollment expectations.
• Checks in all members and guests in accordance with company procedures.
• Answers phones in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Communicates special events to members and guests.
• Facilitates member requests or forwards to a manager.
• Maintains a professional and courteous disposition.
• Is an expert in all club facility, services, programs and schedules.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Able to navigate all stations of the front desk area.
• Performs opening and closing checklist and duties.
