Job summary

Self-Help Services Corporation is hiring a Gainesville-based Member Service Representative to deliver outstanding member service, process transactions, and cross-sell credit union products. You will balance cash, open new accounts, refer loan products, and support branch growth while maintaining security and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork with a mission-driven nonprofit. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in financial institution or other customer service industry preferred.
• Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred.
• Preference for teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong commitment to our mission.

Responsibilities

• Identify member needs and provide excellent member service.
• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, manual payrolls, and transfers.
• Open new membership accounts and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Promote credit union products and services.
• Balance cash drawer daily and adhere to procedures.
• Assist with branch self-assessments and outreach.
