Job summary

Self-Help Services Corp seeks a customer service-focused associate to manage member interactions and financial transactions. You will open new accounts, process deposits, loans, and transfers, and promote credit union products.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work evenings/weekends are valued. Proficiency with credit union software and Microsoft Office is expected. This is a front-line role in a nonprofit financial organization focused on economic opportunity.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in financial institution or customer service.
• Cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to operate credit union systems and proprietary software.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member accounts with excellent service.
• Process payments and account transfers accurately.
• Disburse cash and check withdrawals within limits.
• Open new membership accounts and ensure accuracy.
• Address inquiries about credit union services and accounts.
• Promote credit union products and services.
• Perform outbound calls to members as needed.
• Meet individual and branch growth goals.
• Observe security controls and prevent fraudulent activity.
• Support MSR II responsibilities as needed.
