Job summary

Mainstreet Credit Union is seeking a Member Specialist to warmly assist members, handle transactions, and build trust through attentive service. You will be the first contact, processing deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenance while promoting credit union products.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling accuracy, and a willingness to travel to branches as needed; the position offers a stable, growth-oriented environment with daily performance incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–12 months retail or financial experience with cash handling.
• Strong communication and service orientation.
• Ability to make recommendations and referrals for products/services.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and respond to needs with high-quality service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
• Balance and manage cash drawer per procedures.
• Identify referral opportunities and promote credit union products.
• Maintain and update account information and perform maintenance tasks.
• Stay knowledgeable about credit union products and services.
• Refer and hand off to appropriate departments for member needs.
• Promote a positive image to members and community.
• Understand BSA/AML and compliance requirements for role.
• Meet MAPS targets and branch goals.
• Be flexible with hours and travel to locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
