Job summary

Mainstreet Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative, seeks a Member Advocate to deepen member relationships through consultative service and accurate loan/deposit solutions. You will educate members, assemble documentation, and support underwriting while mitigating risk to protect members' financial interests.

Responsibilities include proactive outreach, product referrals, compliance adherence, and assisting with various account services.

Qualifications

• Understanding of banking regulations and mortgage processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture positive relationships with members through proactive communication.
• Consult with members to identify current and future financial service needs.
• Assess member needs to pair them with relevant products and services.
• Ensure accuracy and authenticity of documents and information.
• Assist members with account openings and various service types.
• Interview members and review loan documentation for underwriting decisions.
• Meet branch goals and MAPS by providing high-quality service.
• Support peers through mentoring and job-shadowing.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and balance cash drawer accurately.
• Maintain current knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Understand state and federal laws related to credit union compliance.
