Job summary

Coosa Valley Credit Union is seeking a Member Specialist for our Main Branch to deliver exceptional member service and handle daily transactions. You will learn products and services to advise members and help them achieve financial goals.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and adherence to credit union policies. You will participate in branch operations including training, audits, and product referrals, supporting a team dedicated to community well-being.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in banking is preferred and customer service experience is also preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in cash handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member service in-branch, via email, chat, and phone.
• Perform transactions in person and over the phone (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc.).
• Learn and promote credit union products and services to members.
• Identify opportunities to refer products and services to members.
• Adhere to BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg P, and other policies.
• Process and open new accounts; handle cash with accuracy and security.
• Read, study, and apply all credit union policies and procedures.
• Identify members in person and by phone following security procedures.
• Participate in branch tasks and trainings; assist with audits and inventory.
• Maintain compliance with required regulations and policies.
