Job summary

Maine State Credit Union in Waterville seeks a Member Experience Specialist to be the first point of contact for members, processing transactions and guiding financial solutions in a busy, high-volume branch.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend hours, focus on service, security, and community involvement, plus benefits and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 to 12 months of cash handling, customer service, retail banking, or related experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
• Comfortable using computers and learning financial software systems.
• Commitment to maintaining member confidentiality and security.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding member service with every interaction.
• Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and balance cash drawers with accuracy.
• Educate members on products and services that meet their financial needs.
• Open accounts and assist members with financial solutions.
• Protect members from fraud by verifying identification and recognizing suspicious activity.
• Research account and transaction questions to provide timely resolutions.
• Support branch outreach efforts and participate in community events.
