Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union in Durham, NC is seeking a Member Services Representative to serve members with a friendly, professional approach across in-person, phone, and digital channels. You will handle cash drawer balancing, account opening and maintenance, notary services, and referrals to appropriate SECU products while following all security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires excellent communication, problem solving, and the ability to work with teammates.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect and trust.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use good judgment.
• Active listener and communicative.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Completion of SECU Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members in a courteous, professional manner across service channels.
• Process transactions and balance a cash drawer.
• Handle account maintenance and opening for various account types.
• Provide Notary Public services as requested by management.
• Engage with the community and refer to appropriate products/services.
• Organize, file and scan documents daily; interact with other departments as needed.
• Adhere to security, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
