Job summary

YMCA of Frederick County is seeking a Member Services Representative to deliver outstanding member service, assist with memberships and program registrations, and process cash transactions at our facility.

You will greet members, maintain accurate records, follow check-in procedures, and communicate needs across departments in a friendly, professional manner while promoting YMCA programs and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and organize records.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily care of members is first priority.
• Greet all members and guests and ensure proper check-in procedures.
• Process memberships and programs and assist with online sales and app.
• Accurately process new memberships and maintain member information.
• Follow cash handling procedures and record keeping in the Daxko database.
• Provide facility tours.
• Communicate needs of the customer to other departments in a positive and friendly manner.
• Address conflicts per department policy, in-person and on the phone.
• Meet and exceed membership satisfaction and retention goals.
• Respond to emergencies per safety policies.
• Follow policies in regards to working with YESS CX.
• Other duties may be assigned.
